Case description
Pulp necrosis & endodontic bleaching of 3.3:
The left mandibular canine (#33) has eviden dyschromy, and the patient reports of trauma to the chin as a child.
The periapical RX shows a periapical osteolytic lesion on 3.3.
Tooth 3.3 was instrumented with MTwo #10.04 and #15.05 and a Gates-Glidden #4 in the coronal third of the canal. Then SAF System 1.5/25 mm was used with a 4 ml/min of 5,25% NaOCl.
Manual apical gauging was performed. Then, continuous wave condensation was completed with Calamus Dual (DentsplyMaillefer) and guttapercha cones.
Internal and external bleaching was initiated. Significant improvement was shown only 10 days after the beginning, and when the optimal chroma was obtained after 20 days, the decision was to finalize the case and place a final composite resin restoration, with a fiber post.
5 months follow-up show nice healing and preservation of the results that were achieved.
