Apical split in a maxillary premolar

Apical split in a maxillary premolar

Case description

This case presents how the Self-Adjusting File is able to find and treat hidden morphology even when you are not aware of it.

In this maxillary first premolar, we can see how the from two canals this turns into a three canals case, as the third canal diverges at the very apical end.

The SAF System, with its continuous irrigation, was able to clear the entrance to the third canal, and then eventually to penetrate it, clean and shape it and obturate it.
